Being extra is like my middle name 🙂
I recently bought a whole box with 12 little boxes containing 10 sachets of Red Espresso for everyone attending our fundraising function next month, purely because I cannot get enough of it.
I gave up coffee about a month ago again but this time I found a drink that I am absolutely in love with. It’s a South African product, sold in most supermarkets and you can get it in the leaf format, a capsule and the sachet that makes a lovely frothy cafe style cappuccino. Try it, I looove it!
If you live at the coast, soup is an all time staple in your home. Butternut soup, chicken soup, veggie soup, mielies en boontjies, pea soup to name a few.
My favorite is a veggie soup with chunks of bacon or smoked bones in them. I basically put any veg I have in my fridge in there except for potatoes. Who wants to have a potato if it’s not crispy and roasted! Wish onions, garlic, never peppers, someone once taught me that. Cauliflower, broccoli, carrots and some cabbage is great too. A stork pot and a packet of knorr soup mix. I am enjoying the brown onion flavor nowadays.
Chuck it all in a pot and let it pritt away for an hour or so until the veggies are soft and you can press them fine with a form. If you have time, you can always roast it in the oven first to caramelize a little.
Last night I made a quick fish soup! Vinnig vinnig! With only stork, fish, onions, peppers and spices.
Served with a lekker soft roll with butter on. Soul food indeed on a lovely cold winter day.
A lot of my favorite series on Netflix had new seasons the past few weeks.
I loved Queen Charlotte, but I never watched Bridgadoon. Yeah i Know how could I.
Here are other favorites I watched the past few weeks:
Selling Sunset
Firefly Lane Girls
Housewives van die Wynlande! So many jaw dropping moments in this one! It’s on dstv though. I am such a housewife fan!
