Fundraiser April 2024

On the 6th of April 2024 the Blush Foundation hosted our annual fundraiser in Swakopmund.

What a fun-packed and insightful occasion it was!

Thank you to all our phenomenal speakers: Marilyn Eibes from the Lotus Foundation, Vivian Heibes, Alethea Bornman, and Hendrina Engelbrecht. We enjoyed entertainment from The Swakopmund Acapella Singers, and Boeta Nel made sure we started the morning laughing with a few jokes. Boeta Nel is a local commedian.

Most of us see buying sanitary towels as a given, but many young ladies don’t have the means to acquire this necessity. As a result of poverty, they are forced to use alternative means to manage their monthly cycle, often leading to many girls’ absence from school. This issue then compounds into lower grades and, essentially, a lower-quality education for these young girls.

With your help, the Blush Foundation can make a lasting impact by empowering and supporting young ladies during their menstrual cycle with sanitary products.

We hope this support will help young ladies as they deserve confidence and dignity.
