With winter upon us, I thought I would share some of my favourite teas and their benefits:

Green Tea

High in anti-oxidants, increases fat burning, improves physical performance, may lower risk of certain types of cancer, may protect against Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Disease, boosts immune system, can kill bacteria and improve dental health

Peppermint Tea

Refreshing and uplifting, combats bad breath, eases digestion, curbs appetite, promotes weight loss, helps with seasonal allergies, boosts concentration, may help relieve tension, headaches and sinusitis

Chamomile Tea

Promotes sleep, treats insomnia, calming effect, reduces stress, soothes stomach aches, helps with digestion, boosts immune system, helps with sunburn, acne and wound care when applied to the skin

White Tea

Rich in anti-oxidants,  may reduce risk of heart disease, boosts metabolism, helps protect teeth against bacteria, cancer-fighting properties,  lowers risk of insulin resistance,  may protect against osteoporosis, combats skin aging

Liquorice Root Tea

Soothes stomach ailments,  cleanses respiratory system, reduces stress, assists cancer treatment, protects your skin and teeth, immune-boosting, anti-inflammatory

Fennel Tea

Lowers blood pressure, regulates blood sugar levels, detoxifying, hormone-balancing, anti-oxidant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, diuretic, soothes heartburn, reduces bloating, gas and stomach cramps

Hibiscus Tea

Rich in Vitamin C, lowers blood pressure and blood sugar levels, keeps your liver healthy, soothes menstrual cramps, helps with depression and weight management
